UUM Convocation ~ a trip to the north

Last week (27-29.03.10) was 23th Convocation for Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Some junior of mine kept calling me asking things regarding convocation.How to pay the fee? Where to take the robe? Do we have to buy the photo? Where can take studio photo? And the question is concern most for the purpose of this blog is “Where can we get hotel to stay?”

Well, as senior I did have some choices of hotel in mind. Since i still stuck in UUM i did some survey on a few hotel and motel available near by.
The first pop-up in my minds surely are the nearest one (or in this case two); or should I say the hotels in UUM : University Inn and EDC-UUM.

University Inn

University Inn is an apartment hotel located in the campus area of Universiti Utara Malaysia. So, they are the nearest hotel location for the convocation event. University Inn is manages by Uniutama Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd (UTTSB). UTTSB also provide other travelling services such as: the travelling package, hotels reservation for some hotel in Malaysia, and airlines ticketing (e.g: MAS, AirAsia, and ...). In University Inn, They also provide the banquet facilities for conferences, seminars, meetings, events and functions.
