Terenganu Trip Part 1: Kuala Terengganu

Wednesday, 26 OCT 2011.  Cloudy day

After 2 hours drive from Kota Bharu, finally we reached The GEM Beach Resort at 11.am. Time for us to check-in to our room should be 2pm, lucky we are allowed when we were there. Most of the room were fully booked due to they are hosting some events for school and institution. However we still have room to stay as the room is booked weeks in advance with ZERO deposit!!

Aside from the advantage of Zero Deposit and hospitality customer friendly, GEM Beach has a cool breath Green nature environment. Surrounded with coconut tree environment pool view.

If you are lucky enough to get yourself a hotspot - sea view room you able to enjoy a Sunset/sunrise from your room balcony. Even you are not so lucky, you still enjoy the sound of the wave 24 hours no matter where is your room is located.


Since now are almost monsoon season, the wave are extremely loud and frighten well at least for my GF. She is so worried tsunami is coming...CHOI!! Touch wood.

After Check-in to our room, we brush of the dust, put our bags down heading out, where to??
to the state museum.

Yes, the Terenganu state museum - the largest museum in Malaysia. it is a good place for you to learn about culture, history and heritage of Terenganu. oh ya.. there is replica of Batu Bersurat founded in 1887 AD at Kuala Berang. For those interested in Petroleum, here there is a huge section displaying related to it at the petroluem gallery.


The State Museum open daily from 9am- 5pm.
Except for Friday close for Friday prayer during 12 noon- 3pm.

Price of ticket are as following:
Adult - RM5
Children - RM2
Uniform Student - RM1

Since we are already at the museum, Let go have a visit another GREAT landmark in Terenganu.

What we had miss out is visiting the Floating Mosque - Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah  try check it out some other time. Actually there still others interesting landmark in Terenganu such as:

these are a few of places we did not got yet, Maybe some other time.

p/s: coming back with the resorts i came across during the way back!
